Routing groups
Panel page: Routing Groups (Ctrl K → routing groups)
A routing group is the list of terminators a customer’s calls can use. Each customer has one routing group. Several customers can share a group, or each can have their own.
Create a group
Section titled “Create a group”- Routing Groups → Add. Give it a name, for example
wholesale-main. - Add the ports and carriers this group may use.
- Choose how the group uses them:
| Way | What happens | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| In order (failover) | The first terminator is tried first; if it fails, the call is tried once more on the next one. | One main route with backups |
| Lowest cost | The cheapest terminator for the destination is tried first. | Carriers with different prices |
| Shared (round robin / balanced) | Calls are spread across the terminators. | Many SIM ports with the same SIMs |
Split by destination: sub-groups
Section titled “Split by destination: sub-groups”A sub-group is a part of the group for numbers that start with one prefix. Example: in wholesale-main, a sub-group 234 holds the Nigeria ports, and a sub-group 254 holds the Kenya carrier. A call to 23480… uses only the 234 sub-group.
Each sub-group can use its own way (in order, lowest cost, shared).
Failover
Section titled “Failover”If a terminator fails the call (an error, or no answer from the carrier), Routyx tries one more terminator in the group. Once the called phone is ringing, the call is not moved. The Routing tab of each call shows every terminator that was tried and why each one was skipped or failed.
