FAQ
Do I get root access to the server? No. We run the server: installs, updates and its security. You get the full panel. That keeps every switch on a known, working version.
What happens above my plan’s limit? Your plan sets the concurrent calls (CC) and calls per second (CPS) of the whole switch. Calls above it are refused, and Calls shows them as refused. Moving to a bigger plan is a change on our side, not a new server.
Can I add more logins? Yes, ask us. Every login is a full administrator, so give one only to people you trust with prices and billing.
Can I use more than one gateway brand? Yes. Each port is its own terminator, whatever the brand.
Can a call center use Routyx? Yes, as the switch behind your dialer. The dialer handles agents and queues; Routyx routes, limits and bills the calls. Tell us your dialer’s calls per second so we size the plan.
Which codecs? G.711 (A-law and µ-law) and G.729, with transcoding between them. G.729 is included; there is no licence to buy.
What does Routyx not have yet?
- No API for customers; everything is done in the panel.
- Every login is a full administrator; there are no read-only logins.
- Customers are recognised by their IP address.
- Call records are exported by us on request.
- One private server per customer, with no standby server.
Can I export my call records? Ask us and we send an export. If you leave, ask within 14 days for an export of your call records and rate sheets.
